Today is a great day and it’s not even my birthday! (T-39
daysπ) I have been waiting for the day I get to go home from the hospital. The criteria for leaving are to reach 0.5
neutrophils for 3 days and having no other issues going on. The last 4 days I have had neutrophils of TLTC
which means, too low to count. π Today, however, my doctor came in and told me
my neutrophils were 0.4 and she expects them to continue to go up and if so . .
. .
I can go home on Tuesday!!
Northwestern is a
very nice hospital, but I'd rather be home!!
I’m supposed to have some activity everyday and
that basically means walk the halls. I’m
only allowed on ½ of the floor so the route is very small. It takes 14 laps around to equal 1 mile. I can’t walk and count that - even without
chemo brain. Since I’m neutropenic, I basically have to gear up in a HAZMAT suit to leave my room. . . . . oh, and it isn’t sweaty at
all walking around in a plastic suit and your nose and mouth closed off in
polyester! π
I am so happy to
be going home soon. Mom will come to
take care of us and I can’t wait to see her again. π Stephanie plans to come up right away too,
but she admitted to a sore throat and I know Kriz is going to be merciless
about germs. I’m praying for her quick
recovery to perfect health. π I love it
when she is around too!! π
Thank you for
reading my blog. I am very thankful for
your concern and support. I truly
believe my body would not have responded as positively without you. I am so thankful for you. May God Bless you in an unexpected way!

Celebrating with you! I love your word picture of throwing a sheet over Karen and engulfing her in a hug. I wish I were under that sheet. π
ReplyDeleteYou are because you are my sister. I love you!
